Another great year at BETT

It was yet another fantastic year for us at the London Excel showcasing our bespoke products at the annual BETT Show.

Over the past 11 years, BETT has presented us with brilliant opportunities to meet with our existing end-users and resellers from all over the globe and to have the chance to start new conversations and spark new interests.

BETT was a great platform to launch our new LapCabby GO2 Case which many people loved due to its unique and thoughtful features. Full ventilation to keep the devices cool, a separate power compartment for safety and that it is supplied with a cable lock and anchor point to secure anywhere. This seemed to be a big hit with many teachers who teach across classrooms or campuses. Who wouldn’t love a storage solution that charges on the go, which is easy to use and takes the stress away from worrying about it being damaged or stolen?!

During the four-day event, people from different educational institutions and countries were looking for different ways to store, charge and sync their devices to improve curriculum. BETT really highlights the impact that technology has on communication and school grades.

It was clear that consumers are gravitating more towards smaller, compact devices such as tablets such as Microsoft Surface Pros and iPads as opposed to laptops. While speaking to consumers it appeared, that laptops may have exceeded their expiry date in some schools as the interactive options that Chromebooks and tablets offer seemed to be the way to integrate ICT in an educational space.

LapCabby’s Digital marketing executive, Indy Bamra said: ” BETT was a really insightful event and it’s so great to see the forward approach schools are taking across the world. Many consumers were interested in our protype mobile phone unit, as schools are now understanding the need for more children to carry a phone to and from school for safety. However, our products show that, mobile devices don’t need to distract a child at school, especially if they know that their phones are being stored safely and securely in a compact unit and are being charged.

“We’ve worked with the education sector for many years and it was interesting that everyone wanted to store and charge their devices in a different way. For example, some people were interested in our LapCabby DeskCabby and some were keen to purchase our LapCabby Lyte Wall range. It just shows what a dynamic sector education is. Everyone has different needs and requirements when it comes to ICT and the way they store and charge their devices, usually depending on how often they use the mobile devices.”

BETT is always an unmissable event where everyone can see how technology is changing. It’s great to see how this will impact the way we design and expand our range to fit current technology trends and demands as technology is continuously growing to play a bigger part in young people’s lives.

We hope you enjoyed the show and if you didn’t manage to experience the quality our products or if you have any questions then please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we want to help you protect, store and charge your devices.
