New HQ project to support company’s global growth strategy across all its furniture brands
Monarch Education Furniture and LapCabby are excited to announce plans to move its production factory and global HQ to a purpose built new facility in Nottingham, in December 2016.
The multimillion pound facility will see Monarch move all its UK production, logistics and office employees under one roof – to deliver an enhanced production facility and warehouse as well as centralise all office staff in one location to foster an open and collaborative working space for its 100+ employees. The new offices will also include a product design lab and demonstration suite that will welcome partners and clients.
Stuart Hopkin, Managing Director, Monarch Furniture adds: “The new HQ will fully support Monarch and LapCabby’s strategy for growth and enable us to increase production, invest in new machinery, create a highly efficient facility and streamline business operations, in their entirety.
With some recent, major contract appointment, large tender wins and major Distribution partnerships, we see the next few years being very busy.
In addition to the new facility, our global operations continue to strengthen and diversify. This month also sees the relocation of LapCabby Managing Director and Head of Product Development set up a LapCabby US base in New York – to further support our growing distributor, partner and client base across The Americas.”
The new development is being collaboratively delivered by Lindum Construction, Nottingham Airport, and Monarch. Spanning 98,000 sq feet, the new development remains firmly on track, with key stakeholders and local MP ‘cutting the turf’ last week.
Brian Wells, local landlord from Nottingham City Airport adds:” Nottingham City Airport are delighted to be able to support Monarch in their exciting expansion plan and wish them every success for many more years to come in their long term relationship with them.”
Simon Gregory, MD of Lindum Construction further adds: “It is very rewarding to be able to use our extensive expertise to create a purpose built facility to meet the growing global requirements of Monarch Education Furniture and LapCabby. Working in partnership to provide the right solution has secured this major investment in Nottingham and, as an East Midlands based Construction Company, it is particularly pleasing to be part of this exciting development.”
Debbie Mason, Rushcliffe Borough Council Cabinet Member and Tollerton Borough Councillor adds: “Rushcliffe Borough Council is dedicated to supporting and working with local businesses to help them expand. This partnership between Monarch Furniture, Trueman Aviation and Lindum Construction will see significant investment, in our local community, that will protect local jobs and provide further employment opportunities. I look forward to seeing the finished building later this year and the success of these business flourish as a result.”
