LapCabby has lead the way in manufacturing storage and charging furniture in the Education, Healthcare, Government and Corporate industries.
Our story begins in 2002 when a valued reseller of our parent company, Monarch Furniture, a leading manufacturer of furniture for schools, hospitals and offices for over 32 years, came to us with a request for us to design and manufacture a trolley to house and charge 16 laptops for a local school.
In 2006, our simple, functional, trolley began to evolve. We listened to the issues that drove our customers nuts – cable spaghetti, broken chargers, laptops damaged in transit, damaged walls from square corners. Solutions were needed, so we enlisted a team of industrial product designers to thoughtfully and creatively overcome each concern. And LapCabby was born.
Fast-forward to today and we continue to develop solutions. Devices have changed in size and type, the number of industries we serve have increased and evolved and we now supply our products into over 50 countries worldwide. However, there will always be one thing that never changes – our passion for understanding our customers and designing thoughtful products.

With a large distribution network and multiple LapCabby warehouses, we get our LapCabby units to clients fast – sometimes even next day delivery. No job is too big or small for our team. We also offer a demo unit if purchasing five or more units, this demo program enables customers to evaluate our products and test all our great features, before making their final decision. We also deliver our products worldwide and fully assembled with the help of our resellers. No matter where you are, you can get one of our clever charge and store solutions.
Quality Assurance Processes
Alongside testing to global standards we also do lifetime testing for product components. For example, our factory team’s been locking and unlocking a new lock system we’ve designed to make sure it stands the test of time. It’s had 10,000 turns so far and it’s still holding up perfectly!

To ensure the safety of all our products is comprehensive, we test to the highest health and safety standards worldwide. We never self-certify; every LapCabby product is subjected to stringent third-party testing by the international test house, TUV. We take testing very seriously and never release a product to the market unless it’s fully tested to the highest certification. Our products are tested to all the following safety standards:

When we say we put the customer at the heart of everything that we do, we mean it. We talk regularly with our customers about what they need from an ICT storage solution and take feedback on board and that is why we are constantly rolling out new products which fit our customers’ needs and to suit the way devices are constantly evolving.
Features & Components Created to Work Perfectly
We take the time to research and implement new ways to improve features such as screws, cable clips, handles, wheels, and air vents to name just a few! There’s always an explanation for our clever designs. One example of this is that we use rounded rubberised corners. During transit, the shock absorbing bumpers will prevent your walls from damage and prevent harm if it bumps into someone. Also, our wheels are fully welded to the steel frame. This means the wheels are totally indestructible and won’t buckle on any terrain.
Delivered Ready to Use
Or as we like to say… ready to roll! You might find other device charging and storage companies deliver products with elements such as cable management, shelf mats and wheels that you’ll need to fix and assemble when your order arrives. In fact, you might even find you have to order these parts separately – and the price can quickly add up. At LapCabby, what you see is what you get, and there are no hidden costs whatsoever. Every single one of our products is delivered fully assembled, so all you need to do is lift off the packaging and plug it in – then you’re ready to go!
Custom-Made Solutions for Large Projects
Just one example of this is our project with Aldo Shoe Retailer: After utilising point-of-sale iPad devices for 1-year in-store, Aldo staff noticed the battery life had reduced significantly, meaning the longer-term outcome was that the iPads would eventually become unusable and therefore redundant. Aldo initially contacted Apple who determined that the devices were fine, and in fact, the charging stations were the problem; the iPads were being undercharged, wearing out the batteries. Following the diagnosis, Aldo started searching for a solution. They tested several different charging stations with LapCabby‘s ‘DeskCabby’ coming out as the best solution. The project came with a strict set of requirements, specifically that Aldo had a trail and test period of two months. The DeskCabby would be tested in an on-site IT laboratory as a way of ensuring the technology and battery life could stand the test of time. Another requirement was that Apple were to inspect and approve the charging stations before the manufacture of the full order of 500 units. These units would come with a bespoke custom colour and Aldo logo to match their brand, which was no problem for LapCabby. Finally, all this would be delivered within six weeks of receiving the confirmed purchase orders.

We offer everyone a lifetime warranty and a five-year electrical warranty across the whole range because we know the quality of our products is second to none. A lot of vendors make warranty seriously complicated. They often exclude things like wheels, foam, cables and rubber from their lifetime warranty, which they might not even offer in the first place. At LapCabby we like to keep things simple. Our lifetime warranty covers everything in our products except the electrical components, and those have their own five-year warranty. And when we say lifetime, we mean lifetime.
