Special Breakfast by Rosie May Foundation

Last week we had the pleasure to receive the visit of some volunteers from the Rosie May Foundation here at LapCabby.

They came to our headquarters to bring us a special breakfast prepared by them and to talk about the foundation, ways to help them through donations and how they help children in the UK and internationally.

About Rosie May Foundation
In December 2003 a little girl of only 10 years old was murdered by a 17 years old boy she knew. Rosie May’s history sensitized a lot of people that had sent donations to the Sheffield Paediatric Intensive Care Unit where she stayed during her last 48 hours of life.  In response to that, her parents found the foundation in January 2004.

Over the past twelve years, Rosie May Foundation has developed from a family-run charity to an international charity with a strategy to help children in crisis, especially girls.

The Foundations has a mission to protect children in crisis by keeping them in families and eliminating the risk of abandonment or trafficking. Preventing the separation of families and supporting them to lift themselves out of poverty. Educating to unlock potential, promoting gender equality and creating change for future generations. Reintegrating children from orphanages and trafficking survivors into family-based care. And collaborate with local partners to strengthen communities to create solutions for themselves.
