Half of Parents Want Phones Banned in Schools

According to this BBC news article “Just under half of UK parents, 49%, think their child’s school should ban mobile phones, a survey by price comparison site uSwitch suggests.” Phones in schools (or not) has always been a topic for debate. Do pupils really need phones on their person during school hours? Are phones just a distraction for the classroom? Are phones essential for pupils in case of an emergency?
