Classroom Safety: What LapCabby tests

We take health and safety in the classroom very seriously here at LapCabby – if you haven’t heard we recently identified some key hazards appearing in classrooms and popped them into this neat Infographic. In this post we shall give you a run-down of how we deliver impeccable safety features in every single LapCabby that leaves the factory, this comprehensive testing gives us the confidence to offer Lifetime Warranty on all our solutions!

So what exactly does LapCabby test?

From the handles to the wheels LapCabby ensure every single component has been meticulously tested – but simply testing each part is not enough, likewise, only testing the final complete unit will not yield the highest safety levels. To remedy this issue, LapCabby assess both the unit components and the fully assembled product to ensure that all the parts in combination are also safe.

Moreover, we never self-certify; every product is subjected to stringent third-party testing by the international test house, TUV.

We also carry out thorough drop and weight testing on every solution right down to our smallest the Boost+ which for example, is dropped from a height, and put under extreme pressure to ensure overall strength and durability.

Added features boosting classroom safety

Testing is stage one in enabling LapCabby to deliver the highest quality IT storage possible, but this wasn’t enough for us. So to further bolster the health and safety of our solutions we have added numerous features pertaining specifically to providing unsurpassed safety levels with every LapCabby solution.

We deliver IT storage across the world – but our customers are at the heart of everything we do – and many of our features are added on the back of customer feedback and industry trends. To ensure our solutions develop alongside the innovation required for an effective digital classroom, who better to give us the insight than our beloved customers?

Here are some of the top LapCabby safety-specific features

Temperature controls

Our integrated air vents help naturally control temperature without the need for fans, however should the unit still get too hot – a ton of devices can themselves get petty warm! LapCabby units will automatically shut off if they reach 35 degrees, and turn back on when they go down to a safe 29 degrees. This not only reduces risk of fire, but also protects the longevity of devices and chargers.

Secure, hidden and efficient electrics

With high voltage cabling, which can often get to 240V LapCabby solutions keep it locked up and away from prying hands – hugely reducing the risk of electric shock.  Separate high and Low

Did you know? We’ve opened and closed the door on our units 10,000 times

This may sound – and I’m sure our factory’s head engineer would concur – painstaking, but it was worth it. And, one of the only ways to truly promise the most robust quality right down to the door hinges!

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Check out our Health and Safety eBook for the full account of essential safety features to identify when selecting IT storage.
